Kutani ware is a style of hand-painted Japanese porcelain that originated in the Kutani region of Kaga, Japan, more than 350 years ago. Renowned for its vibrant colors, intricate brushwork, and expressive designs, each piece reflects a rich tradition of Japanese craftsmanship.

This piece is decorated in the Akae (赤絵), or "red painting," style—one of Kutani ware's most celebrated techniques.
